About Tanzania Safari and Beach

Visiting the beach can be a great highlight after a Tanzanian safari. Its yearly round temperatures and soft white sand makes Tanzania the place to be for a beach lover. The Tanzania's Indian Ocean coastline is just a few hours or less from the parks and game reserves which make it easy for tourists to go and relax at the beach.

Zanzibar is a sea of water made up of 50 Islands, the biggest one being Zanzibar as well as Pemba Island to the north. Zanzibar has all types of romantic travel emotions. Be it swimming, relaxing on the sandy beach under a palm tree, diving in turquoise seas or watching the fishermen pad their dhows, the Island has plenty to rejuvenate your senses.

There are a lot of lodgings to suit everyone from luxury resorts to boutique hotels in Stone Town. Zanzibar is protected by coral reef that surrounds the Island with miles of white sand beaches.

Up the coast is Mafia, with the name, one might mistake it but it's a peaceful and welcoming Island. Surrounded by a protected marine park, this is a good place for those who love and would love to experience the underworld.

We also have Mnewa, one of the finest private Islands located one mile off the coast of Zanzibar. North of Zanzibar, a true gateway Island called Pemba is located. It is one of the greatest dive locations on the planet. It is a large Island but less visited. And while Zanzibar has more 150 hotels, Pemba has 3 and getting to the lodges involves boats, planes, and cars thus the utter seclusion. The beaches on the mainland are awesome but there are superb sand bars.

Last but not least we have the Vamizi Lodge which is undeniably one of the best beaches in Africa. You can walk into the water and dive 30 meters and 7 km long. It is a superb private lodge that has it all. It is located between Mozambique and Tanzania where the sea is overflowing with fish. Again, Vamizi lodge is quite special. From the private villas to the 7 km white sand coral beach there is very little weakness. The price tag is fairly high but reaching the place is hard thus the need to fly into the Island. This is absolutely a recommendation for everyone who can or cannot even afford the price tag. After all, you may only need to visit once!!

As you can see, these are magnificent beaches, too awesome to miss, and a perfect addition to your excitement on your safari.
